I've always been curious about brioche hamburger buns. The idea of serving a juicy hamburger in a rich and buttery bun sounds totally decadent.

No Knead Brioche Hamburger Buns
I've always been curious about brioche hamburger buns. The idea of serving a juicy hamburger in a rich and buttery bun sounds totally decadent.
These Bacon and Roquefort Cheese Muffins with Toasted Walnuts are such a savory and rich treat. They are a wonderful addition to a breakfast or brunch bread basket. Just imagine them with steak and eggs.

Chicken Chow Fun (without the Fun) | Wok Wednesdays
This is Chicken Chow Fun, but it is missing the haw fun (the rice noodles).
Chow Fun is essentially a stir fry with meat, veggies, and broad rice noodles (the Fun). As a matter of fact, for another Wok Wednesdays adventure, we all made Beef Chow Fun, so I am "experienced" using the noodles.

Kardemummabullar | Swedish Cardamom Rolls
I've been a little obsessed with these Swedish Cardamom Rolls, or Kardemummabullar, ever since I discovered them. I was first completely smitten by their delicate looking shaping. Now that I have tasted them, I am in love with the complex flavor of the cardamom that is infused in the dough, the filling, the glaze, and even the sprinkling of cardamom flavored sugar on the top of these rolls.
This Spicy Halibut Ceviche is so refreshing and bold. It is an amazing appetizer and is representative of seaside Mexican street food. I'm so glad I finally tried making it!
I'm in this little group of Fish Friday food blogger pals who post fish dishes on the third Friday of every month. We were pulled together by my friend Wendy of A Day in the Life on the Farm. The theme of this month's Fish Friday is "spicy," chosen by Caroline of Caroline's Cooking.

Crispy Herb and Sugar Plum Grape Tomato Focaccia
This crispy Herb and Sugar Plum Grape Tomato Focaccia originally had the descriptor "thin" in it as well, but when I slid it onto the baking stone, it puffed up like crazy! This is not a bad thing. The bread is full of amazing, amazing (yes, I said amazing twice, and now a third time) airiness.

Strawberry Whiskey Sour
This Strawberry Whiskey Sour is so frothy and refreshing. It's sort of like a grown up smoothie.
In southern California, strawberry stands begin to pop up as early as March and stay open as late as August. You can buy flats loaded with strawberries that are juicy and huge. Mr. Kitchen is in charge of stalking the empty lot on a corner near our house until they finally erect the wooden stand and begin selling them.

Mini Cheddar Bialys
These Mini Cheese Bialys take traditional bialys and turn them into a tasty little cheesy snack!
What are bialys you ask? They are a delicious traditional bread that originated in the Jewish quarter of Bialystok, Poland. You can read more about their history and how they disappeared from Poland but survived in New York city in this post.
This grilled marinated flank steak with Roquefort and avocado spread is wonderful wrapped in a tortilla filled with pico de gallo, cilantro, onions, and shredded cabbage.
I love grilled steaks topped with melty blue cheese. I love to mix crumbled blue cheese with some butter and let it melt and spread over a steak while it is just finishing on the grill. So good.
How about a freshly grilled juicy burger topped with blue cheese and bacon? Ridiculous, in a very good way. Blue cheese and beef are the perfect flavor combination.
