Air Fryer Sriracha-Honey Chicken Wings

I'm so happy with these Air Fryer Sriracha-Honey Chicken Wings!

Air Fryer Sriracha-Honey Wings from Karen's Kitchen Stories

These Air Fryer Sriracha-Honey Wings are super crispy, spicy sweet, and ready in 30 minutes. It was really difficult to not keep them all to myself.

I made these last weekend after my friend Sally of the amazing blog Bewitching Kitchen posted that she was considering getting an air fryer. I had received an air fryer as a gift from a distributor, but had not yet given it a try. I wanted to give Sally an informed opinion (she's a scientist after all), so I immediately went into action and decided to break it out.

These wings were outstanding. I baked them in the air fryer for 30 minutes, and then immediately tossed them in a sauce that is easy to make while the wings are baking. The wings were super crispy, even when coated with the honey-sriracha.

I love wings anyway, but preparing them in the air fryer was so easy. Honestly, I'm not trying to sell you anything, but this was really cool. I am thinking that you might be able to duplicate the results by cooking the wings on a rack in a convection oven with a pan on a rack below to catch the grease.... but this was so much easier!

So what the heck is an air fryer? It's this countertop contraption that uses a vortex of hot air flowing to quickly cook and crisp food. Because this is the first recipe I've tried using an air fryer, I can't yet say, "oh, you NEED one of these," but I can say that these wings were pretty miraculous.

For another delicious air fryer wings recipe, check out these Air Fryer Korean-Style BBQ Chicken Wings.

Here's what it looks like. It has this pull out basket at the bottom, in which the wings were air fried. It has a heating element above the basket, and hot air circulates around the food.

Disclosure: My air fryer was a gift from Avalon Bay. It was given to me without any strings attached. For a digital version, I've heard the Phillips is pretty cool.

I'm definitely going to be experimenting with this appliance.

    1. U am deeply touched. I wish all our graduate students had your commitment to the pursue of truth. Of course, I had no other option but to get one, although I did get help from a loving husband, who said "you simply cannot leave Karen air-frying alone."

you will never be alone. In 24 hours my new toy arrives and I will jump on it without hesitation

      great job on the wings!

      3. I have the 6 quart NuWave Air Fryer. I love it. It is big enough to cook a turkey breast or a whole chicken or even a Pork Butt. To be honest, I haven't tried 'wet' things but now I have the right accessory to do that. I'll let you know.

    2. Am making these this afternoon for dinner! Because I don't have wings, am cutting boneless skinless chicken thighs into strips. Then serving over rice with broccoli!

    11. Hi, Karen! I wanted to thank you for sharing this recipe. I think between my work, friends and even myself I've cooked about 25 lbs of wings with this recipe and so far I've yet to find someone who didn't love it.

    13. I never comment on recipes, but this one is a winner. The wings are so crispy and have the perfect amount of sweet and heat. Even my 8 year old likes them!

    14. BEST WINGS EVER!!! I made these wings for my husband on Friday and we devoured them in less than 10 minutes. They were easy to make and I already had all of the ingredients in my pantry. My husband forbid me to give this recipe to anyone! He said "why go out for wings when we can make them this good at home and with less fat!" Thank you for this recipe. Got any more???

    17. I need to tell you... so I found your recipe last year and honestly I made it so many times for everyone that came to mine because it's SOO DELICIOUS!! I alter the amount of the ingredients a little because I like mine slightly more saucy, but the sauce has just the right kick and it's so tasty while still simple and easy.
And now I'm pregnant and I'm put off eating chicken, but when I have chicken drumsticks with this sauce... oh my goodness. I crave it. Drooling at the thought. I'm making it again tonight for dinner! Honestly love it and so grateful for you and this recipe haha. Thank you!
