This smoked oyster pâté is so easy to make. All you need is a can of smoked oysters and a few ingredients you probably already have in your pantry and refrigerator.
This smoked oyster pâté is a great make-ahead appetizer for a cocktail or dinner party. It's easy to throw together too. Along with canned smoked oysters, all you need is some cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce (I used Tapatío), garlic, scallions, parsley, and salt and pepper.
Serve this oyster pâté on freshly sliced or toasted baguette slices for an appetizer. Your guests will devour it. Even your oyster haters might just like this dish.
How to make garlic rubbed crostini:
You can served this smoked oyster spread on freshly thin-cut baguette slices. You can also toast the baguette slices if you prefer. If you want to get fancy, brush one side of the baguette slices with melted butter and toast them in a 400 degree F oven on a wire rack, watching closely. When you remove the slices from the oven immediately rub them with a slice of garlic. So good!
The garlicky bread slices will stay crispy in an airtight container until you are ready to serve them with the pâté.
